As it was as a kid and now into adulthood, my heart fills with joy when I hear words like "bitter cold" or "winter storm". I get very excited when this happens! I am glued to the tv and internet checking radars and weather forecasts. These last few days we have eagerly been watching and awaiting the arrival of the "ARCTIC BLAST!!" and today it finally arrived. =) Since we were getting sleet and the temps were still dropping, I decided to stay home and snuggle up!
WOOHOOO a free day off. So I made some risotto with porcini mushrooms and chocolate chip bar cookies. A good book and comfort food - what could be better? I did do a little bit of work but all in all a good day. So, I would like to share with you a Texas Winter Storm - its not very pretty but I'll take what I can get.

that just goes to show you how lucky we are in texas (weather-wise), why else would "winter storm" incite giddines?

Tracie - you know that girl. My husband thought I was nuts cuz I was so giddy at the possibility of "winter weather." It happens so rarely though I will say we got more of a fall this year than normal.
Buzzuro - I dont know if we even have any!lol You hear about sand trucks but never plows. hehe
