i wish I could explain to my Italian the greatness that is House Hunters on HGTV. Who does not love Suzanne Whang? and hellooo... I ask you, where else can you see 3 (THREE!!) houses per episode from different cities around the world?? My Italian thinks im crazy and always gives me grief when i turn on some kind of HGTV or design show.
Tonight as I was watching the brillance of HH International (see - around the world!) they were in Florence. Watching the italian husband (wife was American) oo and ahh over each house just gave me giggles and happy feelings. It so reminded me of my Italian and how excited and animated he can get over even very small things. His whole face lights up, and gesturing wildly, he can hardly get the english out to share it with me. I love that. Is it an Italian thing I wonder? such passion and excitement over new ideas, small details, whatever. glimpsing that little boy in the man he's become, just makes me smile.
Not a bad way to spend the evening... thinking of my husband and watching the cat make her crazy runs around the house. zooming around the room then up the stairs to run up and down the hall then back down again. How can a 9lb. cat sound like a 50lb. dog? lol
oooooo... Passport to Europe with Samantha Brown is on now. She's off to Bologna - a place Ive never been but intend to see next time in in Italy. Wooohoooooooooooooo
Must go...more later

If you will stay in Romagna, try to eat Gnocco Fritto or Tigelle with various ham... totally delicious. ;)
